Hi! I’m Gabriele and I joined Martin Schaefer’s lab (IEO) for my curricular internship. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and I’m currently enrolled in the joint Master’s degree in Bioinformatics for Computational Genomics (BCG) offered by Politecnico di Milano and Università degli Studi di Milano. My internship project focuses on protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks, aiming to investigate their relationship with protein annotations. In particular, I’m focusing on the influence of protein experimental testing and publication bias on the specific annotations and the propagation effect of protein annotations on the neighboring nodes of the network.
